About this Opportunity

๐Ÿ“Œ About Us:

Lumoset Foundation is a newly launched 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to bridging the digital divide. Our mission is to help underserved communities โ€” including older adults, low-income households, and those without digital access โ€” build the skills and confidence needed to thrive in the online world.

Weโ€™re at an exciting early stage and looking for someone who enjoys creating order out of chaos and wants to be part of something meaningful from the beginning.

๐ŸŽฏ Role Summary:

Weโ€™re looking for a Remote Admin Assistant or Support Staff Volunteer whoโ€™s organized, dependable, and open to helping us build and grow the internal systems that will carry our work forward. Whether you're a self-starter looking for experience, or an organization with a staff member you'd like to get hands-on nonprofit exposure, this could be a great match.

You donโ€™t need to have everything figured out โ€” just a willingness to learn, communicate, and help us turn good ideas into action.

๐Ÿ›  Ways You Might Help:

This role is flexible and will evolve based on your strengths. Some areas weโ€™re hoping for support include:

  • Helping us organize our Google Drive folders, files, and internal docs
  • Assisting in setting up and using tools like Trello (already created) and Slack (not yet started)
  • Creating or formatting SOPs, onboarding documents, and email templates
  • Helping us manage inboxes, basic scheduling, and file storage
  • Conducting research on potential partners, grants, digital resources, and best practices
  • Tracking to-do lists and progress across small tasks and projects
  • (Optional) Supporting or onboarding future volunteers as we grow

You donโ€™t need to be an expert โ€” just someone organized, responsible, and eager to help a small team work smarter.

โœ… A Great Fit Might Be:

  • Someone exploring nonprofit admin, project coordination, or executive support
  • A staff member or intern from another organization whoโ€™d benefit from hands-on nonprofit work
  • Someone with light experience in Google Docs, email, or project tools (we can show you the rest)
  • A person who enjoys behind-the-scenes problem-solving, research, or system-building
  • Bonus if you like helping people get organized or making complex things easier

๐ŸŒฑ What Youโ€™ll Gain:

  • Direct experience helping build and shape a nonprofit
  • A strong reference letter showcasing your tangible impact
  • Option to move into a leadership or coordination role as the organization grows
  • Public recognition on our website (optional)
  • Flexible hours, remote setup, and a mission-driven team that values your ideas
