About this Opportunity
Lumoset Foundation – Helping People Navigate a Digital World
About Us:
The Lumoset Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to helping everyday people — especially youth, seniors, and families — thrive in today’s digital world. We focus on digital literacy, scam prevention, and creating accessible tools and resources that empower individuals to protect themselves online and build better futures.
Position: Website Content & Resource Coordinator (Volunteer with Optional Stipend) Lumoset.org
Remote | Flexible Hours | Start Immediately
What We're Looking For:
We’re seeking a reliable, mission-driven volunteer (or intern) with WordPress experience to help us improve our website, expand our free resource library, and make the site more useful to the people we serve. This role is ideal for someone with a strong sense of purpose who wants to make a real impact — or for a student or professional looking to add meaningful nonprofit experience to their resume or portfolio.
Main Responsibilities:
- Audit the Website: Review the Lumoset.org website and provide suggestions on:
- Areas that need more guides, downloads, or content
- Structural or design improvements (especially around user navigation)
- Pages that feel empty, outdated, or incomplete
- Recommend Free Resources: Suggest checklists, downloadable guides, or other materials that could help our visitors (especially seniors, low-income families, and students).
- Light Content Uploads: Once materials are created by our team, upload them to the site using WordPress (we’ll guide you if needed).
- Design Improvement (Optional): If you have a design eye, suggest light improvements to how content is presented — or help make PayPal/Stripe donation areas look cleaner or more user-friendly.
Skills Needed:
- WordPress (required)
- Basic understanding of websites and page layout
- Optional: Familiarity with PayPal or Stripe layout (no setup required)
- Basic English writing and communication
- Comfortable using Google Drive or Dropbox to manage files
Time Commitment & Flexibility:
- This role is 100% remote and extremely flexible — you can volunteer on your own schedule.
- We appreciate even 2–4 hours per week.
- There are no set hours, but we do ask that you check in weekly via email or message.
- If you need a small stipend to cover software tools or internet costs, please let us know. We may be able to offer a modest weekly stipend depending on your needs and the budget.
Why This Matters:
The Lumoset Foundation exists to make online tools more understandable and accessible — especially for people who often get left behind in the digital age. Your role will directly help us create a cleaner, more helpful site and ensure that every visitor has the resources they need to protect their information, launch new ideas, or simply stay safe online.
What We Can Offer You
Whether you're looking to build experience, expand your portfolio, or support a meaningful mission — we want your time with us to be valuable. Here's what we can provide:

- ✅ Weekly Stipend (if needed) to help offset software or internet costs
- ✅ Hands-On Experience in nonprofit website content, layout, and user experience
- ✅ Insight into Nonprofit Development and supporting mission-driven digital outreach
To Apply:
Send us a brief message introducing yourself and sharing your experience with WordPress (or your resume if you have one). Let us know whether you’d be volunteering or if you’d require a small stipend for software use.
We’re excited to work with someone who shares our mission — and we truly appreciate your time and support.
