Writing life stories

Kindful Hospice would like volunteers to write one page life stories of our patients. We would have you call or visit the family of the patient and listen to them talk about their family member. You could write a longer story for the family but for the patient we need a one-page story. We would like to put a one-page story in a frame with a picture of the patient. We would like everyone that inters the room at a facility that has our patients to have this story about a patient. We would like to show who this patient was and not who they are now because they are elderly and sometimes in poor health. We think everyone would respect the patient so much more to know what the patient accomplished in his or life. It would also make our families feel good about someone taking an interest in them. Sometimes it brings great comfort to our families to be able to talk about their family member.

All of our volunteers are required to complete an application, background check and fingerprinting. We pay and schedule all of it. Also, because there is a mask mandate all volunteers are required to be vaccinated
