Position Overview

The Respiratory Physiology Teaching Assistant supports faculty in teaching courses related to the mechanics of breathing, gas exchange, and respiratory control mechanisms.

Location: Remote

Start time: Jan 6, 2025

Time Commitment: 2 to 6 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

• • Teaching Support: Assist in teaching respiratory physiology concepts, lead discussion sessions, and hold office hours for student support.
  • Grading: Grade assignments, exams, and quizzes related to respiratory physiology.
  • Lab Support: Assist with virtual labs, demonstrations, and simulations related to respiratory functions.
  • Student Assistance: Provide clarification and explanations for students to better understand respiratory concepts.

Qualifications

• • Bachelor’s degree in Physiology, Biology, or a related field; graduate students preferred.
  • Strong understanding of respiratory physiology, breathing mechanics, and gas exchange.
  • Previous teaching or tutoring experience is a plus.
  • Ability to explain complex physiological concepts clearly.
