About this Opportunity
Empower others to prepare before disaster strikes.
As a Be Red Cross Ready Instructor, you’ll represent the American Red Cross in your community by delivering free, preparedness education. This role helps individuals and families understand how to prepare for and respond to emergencies.
You’ll teach a standardized curriculum on general emergency preparedness and local hazards such as home fires, floods, winter storms, wildfires, and more.
Key Responsibilities:Deliver high-quality Be Red Cross Ready presentations in community settings
Coordinate with the Program Leader to gather and return necessary materials
Track and report all completed presentations using Red Cross reporting tools
Collect participant feedback via post-presentation surveys
Comfortable with public speaking
Able to connect with diverse individuals and communities
Strong communication and organizational skills
Able to follow program materials and reporting instructions
Complete Red Cross training in the Be Red Cross Ready curriculum via our learning platform
Ongoing support from Red Cross staff and team leaders
Build confidence in public speaking and facilitation
Gain experience in community education and outreach
