📝 Volunteer Application Requirements

To become an approved volunteer with Enhabit Hospice, the following steps must be completed:

✅ Schedule an Interview – Meet with our Volunteer Coordinator to discuss interests, roles, and answer any questions.

✅ Submit a Volunteer Application – Complete the application form to begin the onboarding process.

✅ Complete a Drug Test – Required for all volunteers (paid for by Enhabit).

✅ Complete a Two-Step TB Test – Both steps are required (paid for by Enhabit).

✅ Complete a Background Check – A state of Kansas background check is required. (Social Security number is needed to process this form.)

✅ Onboarding Training – Approximately 8 hours total, offered in a hybrid (online + in-person) format.

✅ Driver Requirements (if applicable) – Provide a copy of your driver’s license and current auto insurance card if you plan to drive to patient visits.

🐾 If Participating in Comfort Paws (Dog Visits):

• Dog must be at least 1 year old
• Must have completed a basic obedience class
• Must be up-to-date on vaccinations
• Must be friendly, calm, and comfortable around people

📍 Age Requirement: Volunteers must be 14 years or older to serve.
