Volunteer support for EvergreenHealth Surgical Services

EvergreenHealth has various volunteer opportunities in the Surgical Services Department. Great opportunity for nursing, medical, and healthcare related students. Gain hospital experience and observation while supporting the Surgical Services staff. Department support position includes tasks such as restocking supplies, running errands, escorting family members to the recovery room, transporting patients via wheelchair upon discharge, and supporting clinical staff. Department Liaison positon includes tasks such as greeting patients and families, overseeing the waiting room, assisting check-in staff, clerical support, and serving as the liaison between clinical staff and family/friends. 4-hour shifts available Monday - Friday, between the hours of 8am-8pm. We ask for a six month commitment of 1 shift per week OR a minimum of 100 total service hours. Position follows Covid safety guidelines as per the CDC.
