This volunteer position will be working close to the Founder of the charity.

Love My Neighbor Foundation is a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit. We feed the homeless of downtown Los Angeles every Thursday. LMNF was est. Dec. 2014. We plan on expanding the charity and helping in other areas.

Volunteer Opportunity: Administrative Assistant

Organization: Love My Neighbor Foundation

Location: Los Angeles, CA (In-person Thursdays)

Commitment: Long-term preferred (No short-term or community service hour roles available)

Love My Neighbor Foundation is seeking a reliable and organized Administrative Assistant to support the Founder/CEO and serve as a key point of contact for our volunteer team. This position is ideal for someone who thrives behind the scenes, is passionate about community service, and wants to play a vital role in helping us grow our impact.

Volunteer Hours:

  • Must be available Thursdays from 12:00 PM - 2:30 PM
  • (To assist with our weekly outreach feeding the homeless community in LA and gather volunteer data on-site.)

  • Reliable and committed
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Team-oriented and patient
  • Friendly with strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Serious about long-term involvement

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answer and forward emails daily (This is critical-please do not apply if you cannot commit to this)
  • Collect and input volunteer information from weekly events
  • Send emails to volunteers regarding events and updates
  • Issue donation receipts and track all donations/expenses
  • Post on social media (a plus, not required)
  • Create basic flyers for events and monthly/quarterly newsletters
  • Schedule meetings and coordinate calendars
  • Assist with planning and organizing community events
  • Support the Founder, Executive Assistant, and Operations Manager

Requirements:

  • Proficient in email, Excel, Word
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Spanish fluency is a plus
  • Social media skills are a plus
  • Must be proactive, dependable, and professional
