Project Outline

In the Plant Walls project, Crowd Doing is conducting research and developing a financial model to demonstrate the financial viability of installing plant walls in hospitals through both cost savings and human-impact benefits

Role Summary

Evaluate and model the effects of adding plant walls into built structures. For example, how are resilience and sustainability affected?

Tasks

  • Analysis of hospitals aiming to go to 100% renewable power or towards other sustainabiity goals as plant walls as a tactic could help them get part way there,
  • Analysis of LEED qualifications from plant walls as simulation,
  • Evaluates existing riskiness of hospitals vs regular office buildings. How much additional risk do hospitals have? And how can plant walls help to mitigate that?
Skills

self-motivated team player, leadership ability to manage a small team, sustainability enthusiast, familiarity with industry practices, regulations and trends
