Do you speak a second language? Korean? Spanish? Come and visit with our hospice patients.

Hearing the familar sound of your native language when you are having a difficult days is so comforting for our patients on their end of life journey. We have many patients of many different cultures, if you speak another langauge we probably have a patients just wishing to hear that language. Our volunteers spend about an hour a week or every other week visiting with hospice patients on their end of life journey. Hospice is all about making the end of life process more comfortable and peaceful.

If you are 16 and up and you can write in another language we have pen pal roles available. The onboarding process includes a background check, a TB test that we cover and personal references. There is also training so that you feel comfortable visiting and a great support network.
