About this Opportunity

CrowdDoing supports a social innovation venture lab and a portfolio of social enterprises. Both the lab and the social enterprises aim to achieve systemic change through collaboration with virtual volunteers.

Handshake is an app that connects students on college campuses with open positions, mainly internships and entry level jobs. Over 14 million students and young alumni from over 700 universities use Handshake.

Role Summary:

Platform managers are responsible for overseeing the development of the platform that is used by those working for the computer company and/or the platform of customers who do business with the computer company.

Essential Tasks:

  • Responsibilities include leading team meetings and assigning action items to team members, following up along the way until the deadline for each project.
  • The manager makes sure the systems are functioning properly and helping the business run smoothly.
  • Determines product pricing by utilizing market research data; reviewing production and sales costs; anticipating volume; costing special and customized orders.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Qualifications required:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • leadership skills.
  • soft skills.
  • Details Oriented.
  • Customer service skills.

Skills & Competencies:

Platform managers need interpersonal skills in order to communicate effectively with staff and might also need to engage in customer service.
