About this Opportunity

Help Us Sweeten the Season! 🎃

This fall, you can bring joy and comfort to children and families in need by creating Halloween Treat Baskets filled with festive goodies and essential resources.

This flexible volunteer project can be completed from home and on your own schedule! You can:

  • Purchase items from the materials list below.
  • Organize a supply drive at your school, workplace, or organization.
  • Shop our Amazon Wish List: Click here to view.

✨ Important Details

  • All items must be new.
  • CHS staff will distribute baskets based on client needs.
  • Each basket earns 2 volunteer hours (must include at least 5 different items).
  • Each item purchased from our Amazon Wish List earns 2 volunteer hours.
  • There is no age requirement — perfect for students, families, or busy adults!
  • You may log unlimited hours.

How to Get Started:

  • Create a volunteer profile at chsfl.volunteerhub.com and register under “Halloween Treat Basket.”
    • Each “event” = 5 hours. Example: register for 2 events if you need 10 hours.
  • Build your basket! Start with a festive Halloween bucket or decorated bag, add candy, then choose one of the basket themes below. (Please do not mix baby and teen items — each basket is designed for specific clients.)
  • Record your donation at chsfl.org/chsgifts.
  • Submit proof of Amazon orders or a shipping receipt to receive your volunteer letter or verification form.
  • Basket Options:

    Teen Basket

    • Art supplies (canvas, brushes, paints)
    • Blankets
    • Journal
    • Medium/large stuffed animal
    • Books
    • Colored pencils & coloring book
    • Sports equipment (basketball, soccer ball, football)
    • Snacks (chips, cookies)

    Baby Basket

    • Pack of diapers (sizes 1–5)
    • Pull-Ups (any size)
    • Baby wipes
    • Baby laundry detergent
    • Full-size diaper rash cream, shampoo, or baby blanket

    Hygiene Basket

    • Body wash, lotion, deodorant
    • Shampoo & conditioner
    • Toothpaste, toothbrushes, floss, mouthwash
    • Feminine hygiene products (tampons, pads, wipes)
    • Comb, brush, washcloth, shower cap, body spray

    Laundry Basket

    • Laundry detergent or pods
    • Fabric softener, dryer sheets, bleach
    • Laundry bag, washcloths
    • Disinfectant wipes
