Volunteer Opportunity: Sales & Distribution Coordinator

Do you enjoy staying organized, writing emails, and connecting people with meaningful stories? Join our team as a Sales & Distribution Coordinator and help bring new books to readers! This is an unpaid volunteer role that offers hands-on experience in book publishing, marketing, and distribution.

What You’ll Do:

• Help authors by coordinating endorsements and reviews (contacting reviewers, tracking responses, and sending reminders).

• Distribute electronic and occasional physical copies of books to reviewers, title committees, and other partners.

• Assist with marketing outreach: draft and send promotional emails, update spreadsheets, and maintain project folders.

• Support author events by emailing organizers, arranging book orders, and making follow-up calls.

• Manage basic order fulfillment: process website orders, track payments, and respond to email inquiries.

• Contribute to team organization by updating calendars, spreadsheets, and shared drives.

• Help with recruiting and supervising interns (posting volunteer listings, reviewing applicants, and attending virtual meetings).

Skills You’ll Build:

• Book marketing and distribution strategies

• Professional communication and email outreach

• Project and data management using online tools (Google Drive, LinkedIn, Shopify, etc.)

• Team coordination and event support

Time Commitment: About 5-10 hours per week, mostly remote.
