Food Rescuer - Glassboro, Gloucester County to Gloucester Township, Camden County, NJ

Our volunteers recover healthy meals from commercial donor cafeterias and deliver them to specified a nearby non-profit organization. Every meal saved stays out of the landfill, helping the environment, while also nourishing our community in need.

The volunteer role would involve:

- picking up meals from one of two donor cafeterias at Rowan University, Glassboro, and

- delivering these meals to our nearby non-profit community partner in Gloucester Township.

Food pick ups take place on Wednesdays at 9:00 a.m. and Fridays at 3:00 p.m. at both locations

Each volunteer task will take approximately 60 -90 minutes (including travel time between donor and recipient), depending on the amount of food to collect. The drive between the donor and the recipient community partner is approximately 20 minutes.

We require volunteers to use their own car. We welcome regular participation but will work with your schedule. Insulated bags will be provided to carry food donations.
