Community Cat Volunteer - Help Cats!

We are seeking dedicated volunteers to join our Community Cat team. Volunteers are responsible for collaborating with caregivers to identify community cats in need of spay/neuter services. This can include, humanely trapping cats, transporting, returning cats to caregivers, and community outreach.

Our Community Cat program was established in 2020 to reduce the stray cat population in RI and support caregivers. With support from generous donors, Ten Lives provides free spay/neuter and vaccination services to unowned community cats. As a rescue that serves the entire state of Rhode Island, we provide services throughout the state.

Volunteers are provided with internal training, as well as online training provided by Neighborhood Cats, and the supplies required.

Qualifications

• Dependable and able to commit to providing 3 hours of service per month
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Passionate about helping community cats
• Ability to work effectively with different personality types and enjoy helping the community
• Reliable transportation
