About this Opportunity

The Scott Fire Department is currently accepting applications for Volunteer Firefighters. A Scott Volunteer Firefighter is responsible for responding to and assisting on many types of incidents from residential/commercial fires or alarms, vehicle crashes/injuries and all other emergencies needing the Fire Department. Scott Volunteer Firefighters also assist and participate with special events and fire prevention details in the community.

Firefighting experience preferred, but not necessary. You will work side by side with trained and certified Firefighters, Where you will complete on the Job training and eventually become certified as Firefighter I.

VOLUNTEER FIREFIGHTER REQUIREMENTS

18 years of age Be of good morale character Be willing to commit their time and efforts to the SVFD Live and reside in the Scott area Have a Valid Driver’s license Clean criminal history (No felony convictions) Must have reliable transportation

Volunteers members are required:

Respond to at least 10% of calls received per month. Participate in trainings at least every other week.

The SVFD will hold an orientation night at Station 51 on Lions Club Rd, The date is yet to be announced. This will give you the opportunity come meet the members of the SVFD, check out the equipment and facilities. And to ask questions you may have.
