About this Opportunity
Position Summary: A Campaign Chair has responsibility for managing the United Way Annual Campaign, with support from United Way staff and the Campaign Cabinet. The Chair is ideally, part of a team of three with the individuals representing different strengths and geographic regions. Responsibilities: Be the public face of the United Way of the Tri-Valley Area and promote the United Ways mission. Evaluate and analyze past Campaign results with the Campaign Cabinet and look for opportunities to make positive changes. In coordination with the Campaign Cabinet, develop an approach to the Campaign. This includes identifying existing and new workplace campaigns, and monitoring activity in these campaigns at each monthly Campaign Cabinet meeting. Assist United Way staff with Campaign activities that are outside the individual workplace campaigns. (Campaign Kick-Off, Annual Meeting, etc.) Evaluate campaign upon completion and suggest changes for next year. Time Commitment: Depending upon the extent of the campaign, and volunteers involvement, time commitment will vary. On average, six-ten hours a month is to be expected, over the course of September, October, November and December.
