25-26 San Juan Islands CD Ecology Technician

This is an AmeriCorps national service position. It is contingent upon funding and open until filled. The San Juan Islands Conservation District aims to inspire care for our natural environment. The Island Conservation Corps (ICC) is critical to our work. The ICC focuses on forest, near shore, and riparian zone restoration. The member will serve as part of the ICC. They will perform routine tasks such as forest thinning, noxious week removal, native planting, trail building, and more. They will also engage in more complex ecosystem management projects. We also offer the accredited Ecological Restoration Certificate in partnership with Western Washington University.
