Catholic Charities Children, Youth, and Family VISTA

Catholic Charities USA is a national organization that supports a network of 168 member agencies committed to reducing poverty in America through affordable housing, food and nutrition, integrated health, disaster relief, social enterprise and workforce development, and immigration services. The Family Strengthening Program will be supporting the ¿foundational services¿ of Catholic Charities by serving low-income individuals along the entire spectrum of life: children, youth, adults, elders, families, and communities. The goal of the program is to develop the resources needed to reduce family poverty and build capacity in local Catholic Charities agencies that provide an assortment of services to children, youth, and families. These services can include case management, childcare, adoption services, college preparation, life skills classes, pregnancy and parenting services, housing and homeless services, adult and child literacy, employment assistance, foster care, and more that address the unique needs of families and communities. This VISTA position is a part of Catholic Charities USA¿s Family Strengthening Program, a national intermediary project. As a member, you will meet virtually with VISTA Leaders and other VISTAs serving throughout the country, all focused on alleviating poverty.
