California Overdose Prevention Associate ¿ Virtual Service

The California Overdose Prevention Network is recruiting one new AmeriCorps VISTA member to support virtual overdose prevention programming across the state of California. The AmeriCorps VISTA member will support projects aimed at supporting overdose prevention coalitions across California with an ultimate goal of reducing substance use and overdose deaths in the state. Key projects will include developing and producing webinars and virtual workshops for overdose prevention coalitions, coordinating virtual and/or in person convenings, and collecting, organizing, and distributing resources.

The selected members will develop skills in communications, project management, program coordination, webinar production, coalition building, overdose prevention initiatives, and partnership development. The selected candidate will be a part a statewide member learning community through PHI Center for Health Leadership & Impact. This community includes support from VISTA Leads and professional development opportunities including workshops, networking events, conferences and other trainings. Members will be part of a network of over 200 CHLI AmeriCorps alums.
