Yurok Tribe Community Wellness Associate - Summer 2025

Yurok Tribe Wellness Coalition is recruiting three new AmeriCorps VISTA members to support overdose prevention activities in Eureka, CA. The AmeriCorps VISTA members will support initiatives focused on preventing substance use and overdoses throughout the community. Key projects may include developing and implementing a `Train the Trainer¿ Narcan curriculum, building strategic community partnerships, creating a community resource map, assisting with a mobile shower and laundry program, conducting a community needs assessment, supporting data workgroup projects, and more.

The selected members will develop skills in communications, marketing, community outreach, health education, community resource mapping, and partnership development. The selected candidates will be a part a statewide member learning community through PHI Center for Health Leadership & Impact. This community includes support from VISTA Leads and professional development opportunities including workshops, networking events, conferences and other trainings. Members will be part of a network of over 200 CHLI AmeriCorps alums.
