Program Reach Coordination VISTA

The Program Reach Coordination VISTA will increase the capacity and resilience of the Common Good Soup Kitchen through fund development, community outreach, and strategic planning. The Common Good Soup Kitchen, located in Southwest Harbor, Maine, provides guests with a unique experiencing, giving them access to local food security resources, as well as place to dine and build community. With the help of a VISTA, they will increase the reach of their clients as well as their access to fresh produce, warm meals, government assisted programs like SNAP, and provide a sense of community to those facing poverty and food insecurity in the area. This project also contributes to Maine's Roadmap to End Hunger by 2030, an initiative to increase food security across the State of Maine.
