SerVermont VISTA Leader

SerVermont is housed within Vermont¿s Agency of Human Services. The SerVermont mission is to promote, support, and recognize volunteerism and community service throughout Vermont. SerVermont VISTA Umbrella Project members serve at community-based non-profit organizations and State agencies throughout Vermont that help alleviate poverty and improve the lives of Vermonters. Members build capacity in a wide variety of programs including food security, environment, education, disaster response, workforce development, and affordable housing and homelessness. In this role, you will support the VISTA team by planning trainings and meetings, conducting site visits, facilitating effective communication, strengthening our alumni network, and providing support and resources for members throughout the program year. The ideal candidate will have both strong interpersonal and organizational skills. This is a great opportunity for individuals seeking increased responsibility and further experience in program management, leadership, communications, event planning, team building and more. VISTA Leaders must have previously completed at least one year of service with AmeriCorps, or have served in the Peace Corps. VISTA Leaders serving in Vermont are encouraged, but not required, to have a personal vehicle.
