25-26 Ecostudies Institute Prairie Science Technician

This is an AmeriCorps/Washington Service Corps national service position. It is contingent on funding and open until filled. Ecostudies Institute is a non-profit located in Olympia, WA. We focus on the conservation of native species and their ecosystems. We address complex environmental challenges through partnerships, conservation research, and strategic, science-based management. The member will serve on a cohort focused on different aspects of prairie restoration. They will focus on supporting experimental research, monitoring, and data collection. They will also support restoration activities. We seek people with a passion for ecosystem conservation and restoration. The member will serve mostly outdoors. Experience conducting research or monitoring projects and familiarity with data management are desired. Many of the conservation activities will be conducted on an active military base. We will conduct rolling review of applications and interviews until the position is filled. Monthly stipend amount: $2,438.
