CMC is a youth development program located in the St. Paul Promise Neighborhood.

CMC served 172 youth and families last season through 3 different ensembles: ComMUSICation Choir, Crescendo Training Program, and a quarter-long program at Washington Tech Magnet.CMC accepts all students and strives to attain a high level of artistic excellence by giving frequent community performances and providing youth with a time-intensive musical experience. Youth participate in a vocal music ensemble up to 10 hours weekly. Performance collaborations have included Orchestra Hall, VocalEssence, MPR, Ordway, and the Mall of America. Youth also receive homework help, transportation to rehearsal, snack, and dinner.Crescendo is ComMUSICation Choir's training program currently hosted at Mt. Airy Boys & Girls Club, where students learn CMC traditions, music literacy, and lifelong skills that allow them to focus in a rigorous choir rehearsal. Students perform for Club events and informal community events. Crescendo meets on Fridays from 4:00-5:00 pm. CMC Choir is CMC's performance-intensive choir that participates in frequent community performances and partnerships.
