10th Anniversary Showcase Committee

Summary: In our 2022-23 season, ComMUSICation will celebrate 10 years of providing high quality afterschool music programs. We will celebrate this important milestone by hosting our annual showcase at the Ordway Concert Hall. Youth participants will showcase their talents and celebrate their accomplishments. The concert will feature the premiere of a new piece for youth choir commissioned by CMC. We are looking for volunteers to help us make it a successful event!

Time Commitment: 2-3 hours per month (possible additional hours in May), including one-hour monthly meetings from September through June

Tasks you will support:

• Planning: support the development of the events overall goals and vision
• Communications: offer feedback on communication plans developed by staff and provide input on communication efforts, including outreach leading up to the event and messaging during the event
• Development: assist in the creation of sponsorship opportunities (including giving tiers, sponsor recognition, and brainstorming potential organizations for staff to contact)
• Logistics: support work with the venue, event flow, food, decorating, printed materials, activities, etc
• Outreach: help craft a guest list by identifying supporters, partners, funders, and other people to invite to attend
• Volunteer the day of the event: help with implementing the plan, including day of tasks such as setting up, welcoming guests, and cleaning up
