Are you a skilled grant writer ready to make a significant impact? We are seeking an experienced, dedicated individual to fill the role of Volunteer Grant Writer within our nonprofit organization.

Who: A Healthier, Happier Me Foundation empowers individuals to live their best lives and is dedicated to marginalized communities, invites you to play a pivotal role in securing the resources needed to empower marginalized communities physically and emotionally.
AHHM is looking for grant support in several ways. The ideal Volunteer Grant Writers will play a crucial role in our fundraising efforts by offering to assist with any or all of the following:
- Crafting boilerplate information essential for grant applications
- Drafting comprehensive content that aligns with our organization's mission and goals
- Review our outstanding list of grants and write 2-5 grants from said list.
- We are ideally looking for someone who can help us write up to 5 grant applications, although we are open to accepting someone who needs or wants a shorter time commitment.
- We have a dedicated team member for the project who will provide you with the documents needed. You will have access to our current grant tracker and existing grant research as well as any necessary websites, accounts, and foundational information relevant to the project.
- This position allows for as many hours as you desire although we ask for a dedication of at least 4 hours per week.
- All work will be conducted virtually, with opportunities to volunteer at events in person if desired.
- Grant Writing Expertise: Strong skills in writing clear, compelling grant proposals that effectively convey the mission and goals of the organization.
- Research Skills: Ability to conduct thorough research to identify potential funding sources and understand their priorities and requirements.
- Proposal Development: Experience in developing grant proposals, including narratives, budgets, and supporting documents.
- Understanding of Grant Processes: Familiarity with various grant application processes and timelines, including federal, state, and foundation grants.
- Data Analysis: Ability to analyze and present data to support the need for funding and demonstrate the impact of proposed projects.
- Attention to Detail: Ensuring proposals are free of errors and comply with all guidelines and requirements set by funding agencies.
- Collaboration: Working with program staff and stakeholders to gather necessary information and insights for proposals.
- Grant Reporting: Experience in preparing and submitting grant reports to funders to demonstrate project progress and outcomes.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills for presenting ideas effectively to various audiences.
