About this Opportunity
Youth Volunteer Corps of Reading is offering Teen Mental Health First Aid, a no-cost training for youth in grades 9–12.
This nationally recognized program is especially important during adolescence, when many mental health challenges first emerge and peers are often the first to notice when something may be wrong. Participants will learn how to recognize warning signs, respond with empathy, and connect others to trusted adults and resources—building confidence, reducing stigma, and reinforcing the message that no one has to navigate hard moments alone.
To become certified in Teen Mental Health First Aid, participants are required to attend all three in-person training sessions:
- Wednesday, August 12th from 5:00–7:00 PM
- Monday, August 17th from 5:00–7:00 PM
- Wednesday, August 19th from 5:00–7:00 PM
Attendance at all three sessions is required for certification.
Registration is completed through the Google Form below. By registering, participants acknowledge their commitment to attending all sessions in full.
