Hospital Gift Shop Volunteers

Northern Westchester Hospital is looking for Gift Shop Volunteers to help hospital staff and customers find the perfect gift for their loved ones.

Volunteers will:

• Be able to talk about gift shop merchandise with customers both in the shop and on the phone
• Restock merchandise and supplies as needed
• Assist with displaying new merchandise
• Ring up sales

Qualifications:

• No prior sales or volunteer experience needed
• Friendly and warm customer service skills
• Wear a big smile!
• Have a passion for making a difference

Commitment:

• Weekly
• Choose one or more weekday shifts (Monday to Friday) from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. or 2-5 p.m.; possibility of 11 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturdays or Sundays may be available

Training:

• One-on-one hands-on training done directly with Gift Shop Manager and other volunteers
• Online volunteer orientation
