About this Opportunity
Brief Organizational Description
The Pine Camp Community Center serves as a neighborhood hub for recreation, connection, and community-driven projects. Through volunteer engagement, we create opportunities for residents to come together, care for shared spaces, and support creative and environmental initiatives.
Volunteer Position Description and Purpose
Be part of the Pine Camp community and join us for a few hours of light, spring work! This volunteer opportunity is designed to be flexible, welcoming, and hands-on, with a variety of activities to match your interests and comfort level.
We’ll begin with a mindful warm-up before transitioning into project work.
Volunteer Duties & Responsibilities
Volunteers will have the opportunity to choose from a variety of activities, including:
- Building a bamboo fence in the pine meadow
- Planting a tree
- Light mulching using rakes
- Assisting with general outdoor beautification efforts
Weather Contingency:
If weather conditions are too hot or severe, activities will move indoors where volunteers will assist with painting a large 42-foot cloth labyrinth.
Qualifications, Skills, & Requirements
- Open to individuals and groups
- No prior experience needed
- Ability to participate in light physical activity
- Willingness to work collaboratively and try something new
Time Commitment
- Date: Wednesday, May 13th
- Time: 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
Volunteers are welcome to stay for the full duration or participate for a portion of the event.

- What to Wear: Comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes
- What to Bring: Water bottle recommended
- Tools and materials will be provided
