About this Opportunity

Volunteer with Girls Inc as a program volunteer and help inspire girls to be strong, smart, and bold!

Why: We serve girls (including youth identifying as female), 5-13 years old, living in under-resourced LA neighborhoods, and facing intersecting systemic inequities that limit the resources and opportunities they need to succeed. In 2025, Girls Inc. LA will be extending services to high schools to serve girls, ages 14-18.

Who: Girls Inc. inspires all girls to be strong, smart, and bold, through direct service and advocacy.

What to Expect:
  • Bring your boldest self to empower girls to discover their inherent strengths and mentor them on making informed decisions while having fun.
  • In-class volunteers support instructors with weekly activities in our classrooms, assist in creating a safe and inviting space for girls, and guide youth to explore topics that will help them build community, think outside the box, and increase their confidence.
What's Required:
  • Must be at least 18 years old to volunteer.
  • Attend a Zoom volunteer meeting to learn about Girls Inc. of LA
  • Complete a Livescan fingerprinting screening
  • Submit a negative TB test.
  • Proof of completed Covid vaccination.
  • Complete volunteer-mandated reporter training.
  • Attend a Girls Inc. School Safety Orientation
