Summer Food Drive Captain

Food insecurity is real, and the food pantries are depleted in the summer. VolALX is hosting its third annual Food4ALX in July, and we need dedicated Team Captains (TCs) to help us make this drive a success.
TCs need to have valid driver license, use their own vehicle (with insurance), be able to carry about 20 pounds of food using a crate and be available during the day. If this is you, please register.
How does this work:

• TCs will attend one 30-minute orientation where you will pick up your empty crates on either Monday, June 23 at 4:30 p.m. or Wednesday, June 25th at 9 a.m.
• You will be matched with one or two collection sites and receive all details necessary for you to pick up food three-four times in the week of July 14, 21, and 28th.
• TCs connect with their site and arrange pick up using the crates provided, then deliver it to the warehouse for weighing.
• The last pick up needs to be done on Thursday, July 31 and by Friday, August 1.

Please save the date for a kick-off on Thursday, June 26th between 4 – 6 p.m.
Our goal is to collect 40,000 pounds of food for Alexandrians. Let’s make this happen!
