About this Opportunity

Opportunity Overview  
The Trustees is looking for a volunteer to help care for the trails at Norris Reservation and/or Two Mile Farm staff! As a Steward, you’ll have the opportunity to support and work along with staff to help keep this property beautiful for all to enjoy; trail maintenance, parking area projects and more. Volunteers of any skill level are welcome, and training will be provided by staff.  

Requirements
• Participate in trail maintenance tasks such as drainage structure cleaning and reinforcement, removing debris from trail surfaces
• Participate in the clearing of vegetation in and near the trails and parking areas and invasive plant removal and management efforts
• Ability to transport hand tools from one location to another in a personal vehicle
• Log volunteer hours weekly  

Qualifications
• Must be able to perform vigorous work outside, using hand tools
• Must be comfortable taking on a project
• Must be able to walk over rough terrain and lift/carry up to 25 lbs
• Basic knowledge of trail design principals is helpful, but not required  

Time Commitment Needed Flexible depending on the volunteer’s specific job responsibilities and availability. This is a great opportunity for families to volunteer together!
