Hospice Office Volunteers--remote or at Petaluma office

Description:

Continuum Care Hospice is looking for the right person to provide phone support in our office a minimum of 2 hours per week. We are needing someone who can create a positive experience with each call, and who can communicate the needs of the patient to the patient's hospice team members. You will receive training and support in our small, friendly office. If it is a good fit for both of us, we hope that you'll consider this a long-term volunteer opportunity. 
 

Qualifications: 

• Understanding and supportive of hospice philosophy.
• Compassionate person who is accepting and respectful of people's differences.
• The ability to communicate well, both verbally and in writing.
• CMS requires that all patient-facing staff, as well as those that are in contact with patient-facing staff, be fully vaccinated, or have a documented religious or medical exemption. This important rule is required for all healthcare organizations that receive federal funds through Medicare or Medicaid.
