Kemerer Museum of Decorative Arts Gift Shop Volunteer

Purpose: Do you have a passion for art and locally made goods? Welcome visitors to the Kemerer Museum of Decorative Arts and provide basic information about museum tours. Process merchandise and ticket sales in the gift shop.

Location: Kemerer Museum of Decorative Arts Gift Shop- 427 N. New St. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Welcome visitors 

• Process merchandise and ticket sale transactions 

• Answer phone inquiries

• Assist site manager with opening and closing the museum, as needed 

Reports to Manager of Volunteers and Programs   

Time Commitment: Mondays and Thursdays, 11 AM- 4 PM.  

Qualifications: Basic knowledge of point-of-sale systems. Pleasant manner, patience, problem-solving ability, confidence, and dependability. 

Support: Training for this position will be provided. Managers and experienced staff will be available for questions and assistance. 

Age Requirement: 18+
