About this Opportunity

Overview: South Llano River State Park is the "best kept secret of the Hill Country". We are 2,700 acres of hike/ bike trails with about two miles of river access. We are a prime birding spot being in a migration path. Educational programs focus on sharing the park's natural history and natural resources with visitors.

Program Examples:

· Bird walks

· Geocaching

· Fishing

· Stargazing

Preferred Qualifications: Must be comfortable talking in front of large crowds. Must be comfortable with changing terrain. Experience with Microsoft Word and other programs. Experience with outdoor skills. Experience with natural and cultural resource topics/techniques.

Required Qualifications: Must be 18 years or older. Experience with customer service and ability to effectively communicate with public, other volunteers, and staff; experience with basic maintenance and custodial tasks; criminal background check required. Required to stand for extended periods of time.
