Birthday Party Hosts

JOB PURPOSE

The volunteer will plan birthday parties for residents, based on the desires/preferences of the resident while remaining within the budget.
This is to remind the resident that Cumberland cares about their life and their birthday, while having one person or group of people in particular focus on making the birthday party a fun, exciting experience.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Meet with resident to find out preferences for party
Maintain budget when purchasing materials (cake, decorations, gift cards, etc.)
Coordinate with Volunteer Coordinator to set everything up
Come in afternoons to decorate before the party (year-round)
Expected ongoing participation (please discuss with Volunteer Coordinator if you will be unable to continue helping)
Scheduling is based on the amount of upcoming birthdays at any given time

Must consent, complete, and pass all background checks required by DFPS including: department of public safety, FBI fingerprinting, and DFPS central registry.
Must have a Tuberculosis test completed with a negative screening.
Must complete Volunteer Orientation.
