We help them develop the tools they need to find solutions to the challenges of life. Cumberland Family Services brings healing and hope to children and families by providing counseling, education, and collaboration. We deliver high quality, affordable mental health counseling and educational services to individuals in Denton and surrounding counties. Our counselors work with clients to assess their strengths and to assist them in discovering solutions to life's challenges. Cumberland Family Services offers: Individual counseling and play therapy Family, couples, and group counseling Parent Training (Becoming a Love and Logic Parent) and education Counseling, group education, and after care services to clients in CPCH residential programs Counseling Internship Program CEU trainings to professionals in the community Treatment services to clients of TDFPS Intake and referral services

THE EMERGENCY SHELTER PROGRAM Accepts children and teens ages 5-17 years Provides clothing and nutritious meals, as well as a safe, caring place to live Offers life-skills training, counseling, case management, spiritual development and medical and dental care Assists children with their individual goals Has the capacity to care for 16 residents

THE CHILDREN'S RESIDENTIAL PROGRAM We have two long term cottages. One for girls and one for siblings. Accepts children and teens ages 5-17 years. Provides clothing and nutritious meals, as well as a safe, caring place to live Offers life-skills training, counseling, case management, spiritual development and medical and dental care Assists children with their individual goals Each cottage has the capacity to care for 8 residents

Cumberland provides safe residential care for single parent families. While they are rebuilding their lives the families receive help, including: Quality low cost housing Parenting education Strength-based counseling Spiritual guidance Assistance through case management in setting and reaching goals specific to each resident in the areas of budgeting and financial management, employment, parenting, relationships, health With time, they find a new beginning at Cumberland.
