About this Opportunity
Volunteers are the Heart of Hospice & Community Care
"Hospice isn't about dying in the end. It's about living till the end." - HCC Volunteer
Looking for a unique & rewarding way to serve your local community and make a difference in the lives of others? Hospice & Community Care is seeking volunteers who enjoy sewing to provide blankets, quilts, patient gowns, and fidget blankets for patients in our care.
Our greatest current need is patriotic-themed blankets and quilts that are used during Veteran Military Pinning Ceremonies to thank veteran patients for their service to our country. During the ceremony, these handmade blankets & quilts, which are lovingly made by seamstress volunteers, are draped over the veteran patient, and then kept by the patient and family as a token of our appreciation for their sacrifice.
If you are interested in learning more about this opportunity, please contact Jen Horan at (717) 735-2466 or [email protected]. No training is required and service can be done remotely. Instructions and guidance will be provided by our team of dedicated Volunteer Coordinators.
