Board of Director - Secretary

Our mission to promote positive youth development, encourage families to live healthy lifestyles and create unique experiences for underserved families throughout the Houston metropolitan area and the United States.

We are looking for the following board of directors positions to serve a two-year term:

Position Overview: We are currently seeking a dedicated individual to serve as a Volunteer Secretary on our Board of Directors. The Secretary plays a crucial role in supporting the organization's operations by maintaining accurate records, facilitating communication among board members, and assisting with administrative tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Record minutes during board meetings and distribute them to board members in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of organizational documents, including bylaws, policies, and meeting agendas.
• Assist with scheduling and coordinating board meetings, including sending out meeting notices and reminders.
• Support the board chair and executive director in fulfilling their responsibilities.
• Collaborate with other board members to advance the organization's mission and strategic goals.

Qualifications:

• Strong organizational and administrative skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Familiarity with non-profit governance practices and procedures is preferred but not required.
• Passion for youth development, family wellness, and community engagement.

Time Commitment: This is a volunteer position with an estimated time commitment of approximately 5-10 hours per month, including board meetings and related tasks.
