Summer volunteer opportunities for HS juniors and seniors

Want a great volunteering opportunity for the summer? Looking to build your community service hours or resume for college applications? Or maybe you just want to engage with your community in a positive way...

Iowa Heartland Habitat for Humanity is looking for 16-18 year old volunteers to help build homes and hope this summer in Waterloo. No construction experience required, just willingness to learn! This work is mostly outside and involves many different types of tasks, from framing walls and hanging siding to interior painting and building stairs. Our on-site staff member will show you everything you need to know, provide the tools, and teach you how to be safe while you're helping other community volunteers and Habitat homebuyers build safe, permanent housing right here in our community.

Come once or come every dayday -- many hands make light work!
