About this Opportunity
Volunteer Opportunity: Grounds Committee Member
Organization:Mt. Kearsarge Indian Museum
Location: 18 Highlawn Rd, Warner NH 03278
Are you passionate about the outdoors and looking to make a difference? Join the Grounds Committee at Mt. Kearsarge Indian Museum! This museum is a gem of an educational and cultural institution, and sits on a lovely 12-acre campus with expansive views of the Mink Hills in Warner.
Help us maintain and enhance our grounds, which include paths through our beautiful Medicine Woods, and an Arboretum with 60 species of trees. We're always looking for ways to upgrade the grounds: improving paths, removing invasive species, and adding native plantings and gardens.
Were seeking volunteers who enjoy working outdoors and are looking for a vibrant community to support. Of particular help would be people who have experience and / or equipment to help with wood chipping, small tree-cutting, and brush-hogging. If you have the ability to donate a couple of hours on a somewhat regular basis, wed love to have you on our team!
This committee is most active between April and October, but we will still meet infrequently in the winter for planning purposes, so feel free to get in touch no matter the time of year.
