Bi-Weekly In-Person Visits

Do you have a kind heart and a few hours to spare? We are seeking a compassionate volunteer to provide companionship to an elderly male resident in Seattle who is feeling lonely.

About the Participant:

• Age:Elderly male
• Background:Former journeyman electrical lineman later became a foreman. He enjoys reading the Bible and praying daily.
• Current Situation:Recently experienced depression and boredom; enjoys getting outdoors in the sunshine, and his mood improves when he does.
• Interests:Friendly, enjoys sitting outside on the deck, and participates in Adult Day Health (ADH) programs weekly.
• Needs:A kind and patient volunteer forbi-weekly visitsto offer companionship, chat, and perhaps spend time outdoors.

Volunteer Requirements:

• Be a caring and friendly presence.
• Comfortable engaging in light conversation.
• Enjoy spending time outdoors, as the participant enjoys sitting in the sun.
• Ability to commit to bi-weekly visits.
