Providence Elder Placeis an innovative program of services for older adults. Providence Elder Place helps older adults remain as healthy and independent as possible in the community for as long as possible.

People need people.

One of our participants deals with chronic pain andwould like some in-person company! She lives independently with her roommate and roommates dog butis mostly isolated due to difficulty moving. Shes a fan of poetry, arts and crafts, watching TV, and maintaining her house plants.

You can give as little as an hour bi-weekly, Schedules are flexible; follow whatever works for you and your senior companion. Bring a buddy if you want!

No prior experience required.Training and education provided.

Guidelines:

• 16+ years of age
• Feel comfortable interacting with people at different cognitivelevels.
• Be a goodlistener.
