Canoeing Interpreter

This project will be available when social distancing is less restrictive.  If you are interested, we'd like to get a list people interested when we are able to continue normal operations.

People with a passion for canoeing and sharing their knowledge with others are needed for a couple of activities.  One is weekend canoeing with other visitors on the river and interacting with them teaching them about the river they are on.  Training will be provided.

Another option is working with special events. One of the events is a Creative Writing Project proposed for the Fall. Canoers are needed to support the staff leading the small groups.  Volunteers are needed to make sure each group stays together.   Another special event is Outdoor Family Fun Day which is a day where strong canoers are needed to introduce visitors to canoeing.  This is a short distance, but you will have novice canoers with you so we need several people for this event.
