About this Opportunity
This is an intermittent volunteer opportunity. Housing is not included.
Become a MeadoWatch citizen science volunteer, and help researchers learn about the effects of climate change on subalpine meadows in Mount Rainier National Park! Volunteers will hike trail transects intermittently throughout the summer, recording the flowers they observe growing, blooming, and setting seed at designated points along the way.
Volunteers will work with the supervisor to determine a schedule that matches the park's needs with the volunteer's availability. Volunteers may work 1-3 days at a time intermittently throughout the summer.
Volunteer Training: Training for MeadoWatch volunteers will be on a Saturday in early June, 2020. Beginning Meadow Rover training will be held on the same date. Additional MeadoWatch training will be held at the University of Washingon in May and/or June of 2020.
