About this Opportunity
Interns will learn to manage natural resources in a manner that improves the condition of the cultural landscapes of Stones River National Battlefield.
TIME REQUIREMENTS: 24-40 hours per week
SUPERVISOR: Chief of Operations
DUTIES:
Participants in this internship program will be assigned to work with all park divisions so he/she can experience all facets of park operations. Volunteers may also be assigned special projects based on their skills and interests. We will work with internship candidates to customize your work assignments in order to meet your learning needs.
KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES REQUIRED FOR THE POSITION:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills,
Ability to work independently and as part of a team,
Participation in a Parks & Recreation degree program,
Ability to use computers,
Knowledge of the Civil War and the Battle of Stones River is desirable,
Ability to work outdoors for extended periods, and
Must be able to lift at least fifteen pounds
