BLM - Campground Host

                             ~ Friendly People Volunteers Wanted ~

White Sandy Campground is located on Hauser Lake. Helena Montana is about 15 miles away. The busy season runs from memorial weekend through Labor Day. The 35 non-reservation, overnight campsites are usually full. There is a group area that requires reservations. The large, day use boat launch parking lot is very popular. So is the small swim beach.

• Commitment is May to Columbus Day. Daily hours will vary; 6 hrs average. 
• Working evenings, weekends and holidays is required: 4-5 days 30 hours/week.
• Must complete and pass Federal Background Investigation with fingerprints.

                                                    * DUTIES *

• Checking fees, and camping regulation compliances with documentation.
• Cleaning and stocking bathrooms - 8 vault toilets on site.
• Cleaning fire pits, fish cleaning station, and litter patrols.
• Host must ensure the campground environment is safe, free of hazards, and provide assistance in the security of BLM facilities, equipment and tools.

The BLM will reimburse each volunteer $15 for each full day duty shift worked.
