Visitor Center Staff - Canyon Rim

This opportunity is not a true campground host position but has a full hook-up RV trailer pad available for parking and using your RV for housing. The RV pad is located at the Burnwood Day Use Areas not in a park campground. Each individual must work a minimum of 32 hours per week for use of the trailer pad.

This is a three to six month position from April-October.

Major duties will include the performance of some or all of these functions - assist with the staffing of the Canyon Rim Visitor Center and Fayette Station Day Use Area including: professionally representing the National Park Service by providing very high quality customer service; opening and closing the facility; providing orientation, information, and interpretation to visitors; telling visitors about park activities; informing visitors of potential safety hazards; distributing maps and brochures as requested; operating a cash register and selling bookstore merchandise; accurately collecting and accounting for monies; and operating basic audio-visual equipment.

Roving of trails and grounds within park day use areas to assist park users with orientation, information, and interpretation of the park; inform visitors of potential safety hazards; distribute maps and brochures as needed and pick up trash and litter deposited along the trails.
