Companion Visit Hospice Volunteer

Our volunteers create joyful experiences, laughter and special moments for seniors in the places they call home. Our patients love when a volunteer visits, while at the same time our volunteers have a great sense of purpose, mission and appreciation, knowing they are making a difference in the lives of those they serve.

• Friendly visit with a patient and their family
• Listen to stories
• Assist patients as they participate in facility activities
• Assist patients in one-on-one crafting sessions
• Respite for a family member to run an errand or go to an appointment
• Plan and celebrate birthdays
• Play cards or games
• Pet care
• Yard work
• Play a musical instrument, sing or hum a tune
• Read a book, watch TV or a movie together
• Write letters
• Special Holiday celebrations and deliveries

We are searching for dedicated and compassionate volunteers who will contribute to the quality of life for the clients we serve. Any and all skills are needed, and we have flexible schedules. We provide orientation and ongoing training. Working in a healthcare setting, there is strict adhearance to confidentiality / HIPPA.
